letters from the crushed
The internet is a second home for me. While some people use it to transfer information, I prefer using it to nurture relationships and share real thoughts and emotions.
Natalie has written a little journal encouraging us to share something creative. I’d like to show you couple of places where people come together over their shared feelings and experiences to create something meaningful.
Letters from the crushed allows people to anonymously write to people who have broken their heart. The fragility and honesty of these messages is truly touching.
Dear God is a vehicle for prayer and confession in a society of guilt and shame. And tells us that faithful or not, we all need love, kindness and understanding from one another.
Anonymous Love Letters collects messages of love and longing, and shows how similar we really are in both our highs and lows.
I believe that when you bring together the right balance of elements, you can create something more meaningful than the sum of it’s parts – art. Which is why I consider these places to be works of art, created and shared by many.

Thank you Jo, for these touching insights… i am surprised that people still cry out to God whomever they deem him/her to be…..with their frustrations and in all their brokenness, there is still this going on….i thought people didn’t do that any more. Life is so hard sometimes, we forget that we are all stumbling ‘round sometimes in the dark, it’s a reminder to me to always try to be listening…..to notice when someone’s down, to hug them, to never feel that i am better than others… to remember those that have helped me, and the enormous solace i’ve found in God myself, he comforted me very early in my childhood…and so i still cry out to him….it’s good to know i am not alone…good to know, very comforting

Thanks, Jo. Be sure to check out the PostSecret project too. It’s been running since 2005, and has some hilarious, and some really disturbing secrets for all to see! They release the secrets in books too – one of my all time favourite coffee table books.
