World Environment Day
There are very few causes I get behind, but one of them is educating each another about what we as a race are doing to the earth. Today is World Environment Day so it is the perfect excuse to sit down with someone for 5 or 10 minutes and have a conversation about what you know and how you are making changes to help future generations.

I don’t drive and all my lights are fluorescents, even in my desk lamp. I found going from a desktop to a laptop saved me heaps on my electricity bill too.

I changed all my lights to compact fluros, i ride not drive, i always recycle, tires…refer to the earlier life in the bike lane comment, hmm…showers could be shorter…but i did just put in a second water tank, packaging..not my strong point…eek, thermostat…i have lived in studios with no heaters so …i dress for warmth, i planted a bunch of fruit trees in my backyard last year along with a native garden…electrical devices…hmm…must look into solar! I’m trying…still a bit to go! ;)

My only weak point is turning off electronic stuff. The rest is easy peasy and stuff I take in to consideration on a daily basis. Although, thermostat? lol, I wish it got that cold here in Brisbane!

I just had a friend tell me she was “mad at the volcano in Chili for making her summer a poop, and Mr. Gore you are wrong, none of this is our fault.” What the?! Sorry, I just had to say my piece there. She may never speak to me again….sigh.
