This weekend I did something very very silly….
I took my new camera on a jet ski in a plastic container (i.e not waterproof housing) and got some snaps of Port Phillip Bay. We only nearly fell of the jet ski, hmmm…. repeatedly. I hope it was worth it!

    Holy shark infested waters Jo! Have you gone mad? :) A friend of mine did that once and a Jellyfish stole his camera!!!

    this has a really amazing style to it… the longer I look the more i like it… what appeals to me is the way the shadows and highlights have been controlled… cool work Jo… and perfect horizontal axis too!

    I only just saw the ocean for the first time last year. I think that had my view been this nice the sunburn would have been worth it.
    Its a lovely shot, and so clear…especially considering that you weren’t on solid ground. Well done.

    I suspect your plastic container resulted in this muted filter effect.
    The end product is quite compelling in that it reminds me of 19th century oil paintings I see so often in New England of sailboats on the sea like this one.
