My model is the owner of many a splendid dress so I thought I should drag her around town in the middle of the night to take some photos of them. The fact that she said ‘yes’ to this request proves she is just as insane as I am.
-
While setting up this shot I was explaining to my model how flourescent light looks green in camera and that she therefore looked like a single cherry in a bunch of grapes. I don’t consider green light a flaw, I love it.

I agree with you about green light Jo – I sometimes take a shot five or six times in every white balance setting on the camera until I find a colour I like or put a post shot filter on in Pshop. Yellow light makes some brides look stunning – try it on a pastel shade dress (if you can persuade a right thinking model to wear one) and see what you think. I can’t put any up to show you at the moment as they are on my computer at work and I’m in the middle of taking the f&^x%x&s to court.

I just love the austere landscape you have put her in… and yes, great use of the light around you… Colour plaette in this image works so well, love the shadow on the underside of the chin, really elongates the neck and gives this image style… Love how you’ve used the space within the frame as well. Great work!

Tres cool! Very “christmas” colours! Sometimes the flouro cast can look a bit sinister, but it’s fun in this pic.
