Save Tasmanian Forests
I have just got back from a 3 week holiday in Tasmania. We spent most of our time going to the National Parks which were amazing. However I was devasted by the control the Logging Company Gunns has in this state. We are witnessing the destruction of trees that are approx 200 years – 1200 years ( or more ). The Regnans Hardwood tree is the largest of it’s kind in the world. Let’s save this natural wonder and let the Federal Government know that we don’t want this to disappear. Save the Styx, Florentine and Tarkine Valley.

GUNNS are evil and have had a monopoly on our forests for years. I havent been to Tassie but i understand there are serious amounts of de-foresestation and a resulting drought as well!
If Australia is going to spend millions in Indonesia to stop de-forestation what is happening here???
this problem is not isolated to Tassie either i heard a disturbing report on RN the other day about the TIWT Islands and a timeber company clearing native forest to plant hardwoods to sell to china all endorsed byt he FED GOV etc etc etc etc
