Rework: changed the background. I like it better this way.

Updated: Finale, she chose one of the two places and finished the nest and is now alway nesting all the time.

Captured in our backyard, this robin is building 2 nests under our deck. She is watching me and seems to find that I am not dangerous and goes on building her 2 nests.
I wonder why 2 nests. Does the female then choose the best nest to lay her eggs?

Great take, it looks like a Olove Thrush . About the 2 nests maybe he comes from Africa as lots of African men have 2 wives or more.

  • Thank you Warren. It’s either a male of a female. It’s colored as if it was a male though but I saw it this morning resting in one of the nests.
I am clueless because I am not a specialist :)
