A macro (1:1) on a rose pin that I set in seasoning grains to look like a rose in the desert.
This is captured with the special macro lens: MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro. The depth of field is very narrow as you can see even at one stop before the maximum aperture at 1 time magnification. Imagine at 5 times!
This needs to be done on a tripod with a 4 way Slider on the tripod to which you attach your camera. This allows micro adjustment.
Then with live-view on the camera, I zoomed 2 times and I adjusted the focus. Because this lens is only manual focus.
Just a tad of sharpening, no flash used.
