I altered the bg colour to a pinkish colour to make it look more feminine.
The depth of field is shallow because it is about 2:1 macro if I remember right and the aperture is fully opened to let the maximum luminosity in.

Good macro Yan. I haven’t done much insect macros yet. The darn things won’t stay still, lol.
I totally agree with you but this one, didn’t move, I was so surprised! I don’t know what kind it is but it took me about 30 minutes of shooting with all kinds of trials and error, from 1:1 macro to 5:1 and it practically didn’t move, just turned a bit once and this was better for me :) Sometimes even, my lens glass touched it and it didn’t move. We cannot ask for a better model! Take care.

Hi Yan, great macro shot! It’s a mayfly, and a very yummy thing for a trout. Their latin name is ephemerella because their life spans are so short. They are gorgeous creatures! Nice going! AMR
Oh, I really appreciate your knowledge, I will add it in my description. Many thx for your input. Cheers.
