There are so many Brown Falcons around the Greenethorpe area at the moment, that I can’t resist providing one more capture for your viewing pleasure. A somewhat static pose but a closeup showing the beautiful detail in this stunning bird of prey. The falcons are spending a lot of time fence sitting due to the mouse plague we are having.
Canon 40d, Sigma 50-500mm.

I love photography and especially bird photography which is one of the most challenging and beautiful of subjects. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I had taking them.

  • Cheers Rick, yep the raptors are doing very well which is good. This spring looks like a bumper breeding season so hopefully plenty of photo ops.
