Last Waves Of Winter?

Taken today 12th March 2008 at 1.30 pm. Winds of up to 68 mph (Force 11) turned the sea at the Lighthouse, New Brighton, Wirral into a raging mass.

    certainly hope there aren’t any more of these waiting for me in my dinghy !!! dave this is an exceptional wave capture – the best i’ve seen on this site or anywhere ! – dread to think what the wind speed would have been (F9/10?) . Lovely colours and like the contrast with the solid stability of the lighthouse!! brilliant work!

    I love this version! adn its still my favourite! – those amazing breaking waves over the wall give it such an extra dimension to the seas power and its abililty to batter solid rock!! absolutely awesome! exhilarating even…. (glad my dinghy is still safely ashore being painted – wouldn’t want to be out in that!!)
