Two years ago today my dad lost his battle with leukemia. I have really missed him very much today. He and mom did so much for us during Brian’s Battle. They were with us at Children’s and at Vanderbilt for every surgery, never leaving until they were sure Brian would be OK. I can’t express how much I appreciated them being there so much for us. When Brian was still in school dad and I would take one of my days off and go take photos or just go for a drive. Sometimes we would take the boat and go fishing. More often than not, we would end up at Starbucks. I sure miss those days.

When dad was diagnosed with leukemia he said he felt like the Lord wanted him to be there when my son Brian went home. And he was.

Aww, you’ve captured your dad’s wonderful soul~Lovely capture~I love it when children respect and really love their parents, and not just tolerate them. They took care of us when we needed them, parents should be honored as well as loved~Thank-you for sharing this personal shot with Mustard Seeds

  • Thank you very much! He was an amazing man and an amazing father.
