I love the wind, it has an amazing synchronicity with the human spirit; and it is different for each of us. Where one person will revel in the feeling of wind in their hair another will rue the wind for messing it up.
But if you let it, the wind can be your inner vision, your soul sight.
The wind is like HOPE
You can’t see it but you can feel it eddying all around you.
The wind is like DESTINY
You can’t see it but you can feel it propelling you along.
The wind is like PEACE
You can’t see it but you can feel it wafting gently over you.
The wind is like HEARTACHE
You can’t see it but you can feel it blowing you down.
The wind is like SPIRIT
You can’t see it but you can feel the goosebumps.
The wind is like AWARENESS
You can’t see it but you can feel it in the hairs at the nape of your neck.
The wind is like DEATH
You can’t see it but you can feel it’s icy fingers on your shoulders.
The wind is like LOVE
You can’t see it but you can feel it lifting you, making you want to soar.
The wind is like LIFE FORCE
You can’t see it but you can feel it’s innate power.
Yes, there are so many more.
I just wanted to share that for me the wind is a symbol of the many truly important things in life that we can’t see. It’s not an infallible tool but FAITH, especially in oneself, is personal yeah?
If you can't see the wind, let it see you.
I love the wind, it has an amazing synchronicity with the human spirit.

Beautiful words as always :) Being in the wind, for me, is the most enlivening experience. Nothing makes me feel more at one with the universe. As you say, it can be a symbol of so much. Like water. Like each of the elements in fact. This makes for inspiring reading Brett. Thankyou.

I love the wind too – though I’m not sure the wind in Melbourne today makes me think of Peace.

I must agree. In general I find the sound of the wind to be very comforting and uplifting and quite spiritual. Sometimes it can terrify given where I live. But perhaps even that is important.

Yes, I think it is.

Hi Photobloke, I really, really like this. I live in a very windy city and sometimes curse it for “ruining a good sunny day”!!! But thanks heaps for a new perspective…might print this and read it when I find myself scowling at the invisible spirit :) Thanks :))

lovely words Brett! – my favourite type of ‘moving air’ is a ‘balmy breeze on a warm summer evening’ – now for me – this is one of nature’s most magnificant sensual delights!
great poem!

Good one! Brett.
I like the way the wind tells me, here in Sydney, when it’s snowing on the ski fields but I particularly like the way the wind alerts me to the first warmth of the summer season.

This is beautiful, and moving; much like the wind, for it gave me goosebumps and made the hair on the back of my neck stand up! Very nice, powerful.
