All These Things

All These Things

A full moon over a snow covered mountain,
A butterfly floating on a gentle breeze,
Bird’s bathing in a bubbling fountain,
The colors of fall clinging to the trees.

A restful sunset over the lake,
A glimmering rainbow in the sky above,
The smell of frosting as you put it on the cake,
A rushing waterfall from up above.

Watching a child take his first steps,
Flowers blooming in the middle of June,
Rubbing the fur of your favorite pet,
Sitting in the yard starring at the moon.

A walk on the beach in the warm sunlight,
Perhaps a smile from that someone you love,
Holding your lover with all your might.

All These Things are beautiful it’s true,
But they don’t mean nothing without you.
