The 2nd Awakening of Adonis

I did this about 4 years back. It was my first ever painting. Acrylic on canvas 20×24 inches I believe. Anyways, I’m fairly happy with it – although faces are not my strong point haha. I decided not to touch them incase I make them worse.

I basically tried to recreate “The Awakening of Adonis” c.1900 by John William Waterhouse (my favourite painter) while adding and subtracting some elements. It’s a painting that I just adore (and you should check out the Greek myth behind the painting).
