Get the flock outta here!

We took a 4wd tour over to Fraser Island and one of the vehicles disturbed this flock of gulls whilst we went tearing along the sand. It was a pretty spectacular sight.

Yeah it does look a bit like that.That’s about 1/4 of the flock. There were heaps of them.

Thanks Steph, Fraser Island is located of the south east coast of Queensland ,Australia. It was World Heritage listed in the early 90’s and is the Worlds largest Sand Island,more than 120kms long and 20km wide at its widest point. It is also inhabited by the purest breed of Dingo.

This is a wonderful shot. The light on the water, the reflections on the wet sand and the way the eye is led by the tire tracks and the birds flying away all combine to make this magical.
