Part 5 in a series of 5 images.
We recently spent the weekend at Hedlow Creek, (QLD Australia) with our kids and our three dogs. At first our youngest dog, Cooper was a little too timid to jump in and watched everyone else playing from the bank. She had never seen a large body of water before, which made the following occurence even more impressive.
My partner and one of our daughters were languishing on a blow-up mattress in the creek. I didn’t really feel like swimming, so I stood on the bank with my camera instead. After a little while I asked if they would make some big splashes so that I could take some photos… but the splashes worried Cooper a little and in the end she decided that they needed saving and leapt into action. She swam over to them and swam around near them until my partner grabbed her tail. Then she turned back to the shore, towing them along as well. Once there, she refused to get out of the water until both of the stupid humans were out and safe. We’re very proud of her.
Below is the full series of images, with captions.
‘Oh, what fun. Splish, splosh, splash!’
‘Oh no Jack. The humans are drowning. Quick, save them, otherwise we’ll get no more food.’
’Don’t worry about them Cooper, they’re fine. These humans like to do things like this occasionally.’
‘Whee!! This is soooo much fun. Splosh, splash, splish.’
‘Now listen here, you silly humans. Stop that and come here right this instant before somebody gets hurt. No more mucking around.’
‘Sigh. Oh, if you want anything done properly you have to do it yourself. Super Cooper to the rescue.’
