The Phoenix-Appeal account and Group were set up in response to the devastating Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria on Saturday 7 February 2008, however the account has continued and supported a range of worthy causes since.
In January 2011, towns in Queensland have come under attack from floods described as freaks of nature. As of 11 January, two days later, 8 people have lost their lives and over 70 people reported missing in the flood affected areas, including Toowoomba.
As before, Phoenix Appeal is enabling artists to donate the profits from their sales to people who are living in these desperate times. Sales through Phoenix Appeal account are paid to the Queensland Government’s appeal, or you may wish to make your own donations as follows.
