The Grand Staircase that leads to the old ballroom and theatre, from the pavilion and gardens below at Paronella Park a hidden gem and an amazing dream come true of one man, Jose Paronella, at Mena, amid the rainforests of far North Queensland. The markers on the stairs are flood levels from 1946(the top level) onwards.

I often stand in awe and admire the beauty of God’s Creation. The colours, textures, tones and shapes, especially the way the light falls and reflects, thus revealing things often overlooked, particularly during the grandeur of a sunrise or sunset, or the spectacle of a rainbow.
I really just want to try and capture and share some of what I see as “The Creator’s Handiwork”.

did you see any of the damage from Larry and Yasi? I have not been there for years but know they suffered a lot with Larry not as much Yasi.

Great shot of a great location. I first saw an image of Paronella Park back in the early 1990s and last month had the opportunity to visit. It is truly a great place to visit. The night tour is a must. If you stay at the caravan park or the on-site cabins you get to wander through the park before the gates open to the public. This allows you to get extra shots with different lighting.
