Artist's Description

’Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming all alone,
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone.
No flower of her kindred,
No rose bud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh.

Words by Sir John Stevenson, 1761 – 1833
Melody – Thomas Moore, 1779 -1852

The song has been made famous of recent times by Andre Rieu and his JSO and can be heard in the “Live in Dublin” and “Flying Dutchman” CDs and DVDs.
