The saying “red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning. Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight” was very true and evident this particular day, at Staughton Vale, near Geelong.
The same warning was also spoken of by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, in the Bible, centuries ago.
Matthew 16:1-3
The Pharisees and Sadducees Seek a Sign
1 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.

I often stand in awe and admire the beauty of God’s Creation. The colours, textures, tones and shapes, especially the way the light falls and reflects, thus revealing things often overlooked, particularly during the grandeur of a sunrise or sunset, or the spectacle of a rainbow.
I really just want to try and capture and share some of what I see as “The Creator’s Handiwork”.
