Mt Roland at Sheffield by phillip wise

Currently unavailable for purchase

Available to buy on…

Mt Roland is located on the north west coast of Tasmania directly behind the rural and mural town of Sheffield..the moutain can be accessed by a walking path and takes roughly 6 hours return journey but walkers need to consult the weather forecast before heading off…the farming community around the mountain are very hospitable and for this reason i rate it above it,s brother moutain Cradle Moutain which is located further inland and run and managed by the goverment which forces people to pay levies to visit it …where Mt Roland has no such charges …on a clear day Mt Roland can be clearly seen by passengers aboard the incoming Spirit of Tasmania and it gives tourists and visitors a real feel to what Tasmania is all about

Phillip, I really like your work, especially this shot. Was this taken somewhere near Kentish? I looks a bit closer than the lookout near Wilmot. I see many familiar places in your images, and nicely captured too.

  • no it was taken at the wilmot look out …glad you like it
