I recently went on an unforgettable hike in the Indian Peaks Wilderness just west of Nederland, CO. I was planning on making it to Devil’s Thumb Pass on the Continental Divide, but about half way up, the weather started to turn, and I was forced to head back down. This ended up being a blessing in disguise, because it lead to the discovery of an amazing spot on the river that I might not have otherwise found…

I spent over an hour just chillin in this slot canyon, watching the fish jump and dragonflies swirl around a little pocket beneath the waterfall. It was one of those moments where I knew that all I could do was soak it in, to reflect upon later. I was so inspired that I came home and worked on this drawing for four days straight… one of the fastest to manifest ever…
