I first became interested in photography in the 60’s, mainly street photography and motor sport. All black and white of course. Through the 70’s and into 80’s concentrated mainly on portraiture and moved to medium format. Loved it, but probably did too much and with growing family commitments put my photography on the back burner where it stayed for too long.
A few years ago I fitted an oak floor in the Joe Cornish gallery. Whilst I was there I could not help being motivated to renew my interest in photography.
Medium format was the obvious option, but digital was gaining fast.
So here I am. No more portraits (for the time being) but concentrating on landscapes of the North East Coast. Mainly from Berwick to Whitby.
A few short weeks on from writing this profile I have popped up a candid black and white portrait, so that last quote didn’t last long.
