I returned to photography a few years ago after a long break. My ambition was to make images of some of my favourite places. Discovering the work of photographers has also encouraged me to explore new horizons.
If some of my images give pleasure to others, then that makes it even more worthwhile.

Congratulations Phillip. This wonderful image has been featured in the County Durham Group. For a place with such an astounding industrial heritage as County Durham, there are amazingly few industrial images submitted to the group. This one is outstanding.
Many thanks for the feature and for your comments Ian. Sadly the old Magnasite works, having stood untouched and unused for some years is now being demolished. I only wish I had found it sooner.
