Paddy’s Hole sits just off Teesmouth, and although it has been photographed many times by a vast number of photographers, often looking peaceful and serene there is a lot more going on behind the wall than most people could imagine.
Huge tankers and ore carriers are passing constantly. Not a mile away is Corus Teesside works with one of Europes largest blast furnaces, and around the Tees Bay there are chemical plants, oil refineries and a nuclear power station.
But this just adds to the fascination of the place.
