I’m a chef by trade and a photographer by heart. I like Mountain Biking, Canon Gear, The Clash and Lemon Meringue Pie
NICE……….Like the muted tones with the occasional splash of colour, very nice proccessing. I like the ying & yang feel, the slightly down at heel & neglected feel of the port & the more shiny & new city rising up behind.
Thanks Nic…been sat on this one since last year…wasn’t sure if I would post it or not…You’re right to notice that, the Old Port is just like that, run down in some areas, gorgeous old buildings and architecture next to it and af ew blocks away The New World..

Very nice indeed Mr. Styles!
What a fabulous image Russ! I really like what you’ve created here. Brilliant comp and toning. A kick ass cityscape!
Cheers Melissa, pleased that you like this one…wasn’t sure about it myself.
Gorgeous Russ… Well Done!
Thank you Gary, really appreciated that you added it to your faves.
What diversity in the same shot, it looks like the city has been put in as a back drop, old working dock right next to a super shiny glass city… where were you stood when you took it, or were you walking on water again… you’ll have to stop going that.. xxx
Hi Ruth, glad you like the image….took this one from the Isle Sainte-Helene in the St Lawrence…if you ever come to visit I will take you there…:~}
Of course I am partial , lol,,,aside from that it is one heck of a shot !
thank you….I really appreciate you checking out my gallery.I don’t usually see the city from this angle, when i do go there on business I’m usually on the other side of that grungy harbour brousing around the old port…. I’ve been sat on this image for a while wondering whether or not I should post it….It’s out there now and I’m glad you are digging it.
Nice one Russ! Love the great POV and the colours used. I’ll have to try shooting from there, as I’ve only done it from the Old Port side.
Thank you very much, I’ll look forward to seeing what you come up with.
A fantastic composition Russ. The detail and clarity is amazing.
Thank you very much Peter
