Nice! Did your camera do this in one take? I think HDR really shines with night time images. Wiki article

  • Hey Gazz..used Photomatix to combine 3 jpgs I shot at the scene and photomapped them

  • Thanks for the article…looks interesting.

This looks great Russ, I know nothing about HDR – but love the colours and composition here :)

  • Thanks Trish, appreciate your comments…I’ve seen some examples of HDR on here and thought that I’d like to give it a try..this is my first attempt.

Hey Mr S, As I have done very little HDR I don’t feel I’m qualified to comment on that part of your image. However I do like the subject & your POV, the contrast between the land, lower sky & the more vivid upper sky is fantastic. I would say that the sun coming through the clouds is a bit too bright & pulls the eye straight too it, thus detracting from the otherwise excellent photograph.

  • Point taken Nic…I’ll have to look into it and see if there’s anything I can do to dodge out that sun spot….may even go back and rework this image.
    Cheers,

    Russ.
