A very close friend of mine has one of my favorite names – Magdalena – and so it got me to thinking of Mary Magdalen.
I’m not trying to be blasphemous with her being unclothed – but rather I thought it appropriate – to have her bathed in light, drinking from the cup, in all of her “raw-ness”…… I hope you understand where my mind was going with it… :)

My daughter’s manager always uses that word “Phat” – so it stuck when I first began doing pieces (I used to do a lot of animals – dogs and cats – thus, “phatpuppy”. lol

ahhhh… i use phat a lot too… i used to design car stereos and amplifiers and designed a line of amplifiers called phat watts (used to be in best buy and circuit city)…
and i own an art school for kids and the person who manages the school for me is the coolest people person who’s also a dj, party promoter, started his own t-shirt line that’s in all kinds of street wear boutiques… he uses the words like ill and sick for awesome all the time that like you, these words are stuck in me… ; )
you’re pretty close to me considering where this site is…. one of my other teachers who used to teach at my art school just launched an artsite called bluecanvas last fall with his brother… you should check it out and if you like the site, you should sign up… they are in downtown, l.a.
