Seriously- AMAZING!! Your attention to detail, creative use of graphics, and composition is BEAUTIFUL… but I have to say out of all the Shakespeare characters, Ofelia was my least favorite. I never liked the fraility of mind and spirit she conveyed. Anyways, this is too good, GOT TO FAVORITE IT!!! Keep up the good work!

very haunting and captivating. i especially like the skull and 3 candles; nice touch. adds a lot more meaning to the overall image and title. very touching description as well. very brave of you to reach out through your art. coming from someone who’s father was never there as well, I sincerly hope things work out.

Thankyou for sharing your story and this powerful image. Fathers can definately break your heart. Mine was around, but spent so much time drinking it was like he wasn’t there. I guess we learn more from our parents’ shortcomings than anything else. I bet the people in your life are showered with love and never feel like forgotten daughters.

Your work is amazing good

There is always hope!!I have never met mine and don’t even have a photo of him,I wished for even just a pic for many a long years.He knew of me but never tried to see me.It’s something you carry with you for life and it effects your decisions and your self-esteem. As long as you are both alive there is hope. I hope I’m not over stepping my bounds but what if you sent him the pic along with your comment and everybody else’s. Who knows? When truth is raw and real magic always occurs, though not always the way we expect.

Beautiful work, really heartfelt – I agree with ellamental, send him at the very least, the link to this, or send him a copy of it in the mail. He may not even know that you wish so greatly that he was there for you, he may have been told otherwise and be living in an illusion that you have rejected him. My heart goes out to you, living without a father’s love is very very tough, I know. xx

Then he’s missing out on someone very special. Some people just don’t understand do they, until its too late. Its no reflection on you though, I hope you know that!

Hi. Thanks for sharing your story here. Hopefully he will come to his senses…but maybe not. In the last moments of his life he will probably regret it…doesn’t help you much though does it! Still, sometimes knowing your father isn’t the greatest thing in the world anyway. Sometimes even when they are there, they take you for granted or don’t really see you anyway. I suppose I should be grateful, but he has caused me so much emotional damage without realizing it, that it’s hard to always remember to be grateful, especially when I read a story like yours.

I will say a prayer, for your sake, that he comes to realize that there is a beautiful part of him that he would be very lucky to get to know…and that maybe he can become someone who is deserving of his daughter
