ahhhhhhhhh petra, i love this girl… her crazy beautiful hair, red accents and the wild carnivals in her eyes… there’s so much character here, i’ll spend many a moment daydreaming today about the moment she’s captured in and what her story is… just gorgeous..
what a lovely comment Holly….thanks sooo much!...glad you like her, i have painted her before, this is a new portrait version, because i loved going wild with her hair
Thanks Stephanie, not a silly question, my printing teacher told me this….a monotype is a print you can only do once the same way….because you wash the image off later and can’t reproduce it the same way. you paint the image (with acrylic, oil, or printing ink etc)on a sheet of plastic or similar and press/print it onto paper. if you change the image any more later (after printing it) it becomes a monoprint. the printing process gives the image the loose look, its really good fun and you get quick results…always a bit of a surprise how the prints turn out, hehe…...thanks for your interest ;-)
