I drew this for a client recently as a possible design for a retro sci-fi story/comic he is putting together. Like some of my other stuff, it is inspired by automotive sculpture from the 30’s and 40’s. I love the romantic nature of design and art from this period. I also love aircraft from WWII, and I can imagine going through the routine of starting a contraption like this and preparing to head off…
