Always intrigued by the Arthurian legend, this is the fifteenth rendition I have done of the Lady of the Lake. Painted in fairly heavily textured oils, the paintings have become more abstracted with each version. I can still see the beautiful lady in my work, though a lot of viewers can’t, but she is there, somewhere. Thanks for looking.

The selection of colours here is truly lovely. If I can identify her nipples, neck and lips, does that mean I’ve found her?

What a nice thing to say about the colours. If you can identify nipples neck and lips you’re coming close, but then again you could be cheating, as you know I like nipples and lips. Didn’t know you knew I liked necks, though. Now if only you can find her bottom you’ll know you’ve found her. Then again, it may be submerged, and I’m having trouble myself piecing her together. Perhaps I have carried the abstraction too far? I wonder if the 16th rendition will be clearer. Thanks Deb.

Thank you Alan That’s high praise indeed from an Artist like yourself who appears to like precision. I’m enjoying your writings as well as your images.
