A landscape of sorts. As I’ve already mentioned, reality is not my forte. I do paint landscapes in this style, which is accomplished quickly with a large brush and a lot of wiping through. I have to use oils, as acrylic is not usually successful. I don’t claim any great talent here, as this type of painting has to be executed quickly, and the numerous vertical divisions play havoc with standard composition. I was taken by the distress caused by our worsening weather patterns, and painted this after a visit to the Mallee last year. This painting could be classed as a ‘pot boiler’, but is too harsh to rate the romantic though derogatory ‘Chocolate Box’.

I like the looseness of it … raw energy …very nice
Thank you Lisa for being so kind. I couldn’t paint a decent landscape to save my life, but I do enjoy doing ones like this, as they’re quick, and relaxing, and strangely enough they do sell. I truly appreciate your effort in making a nice comment.

Really beautiful with a haunting quality ..so well done!
NICE COLOUR PETER. THANKS FOR YOUR “ALONESS” HONESTY. I HAVE FOUND LIVING IN A CITY OF NEARLY 4 MILLION PEOPLE CAN BE AN ISOLATING EXPERIENCE. BUT THERE IS HOPE AS I SEEK HELP AMONG “SAFE” PEOPLE & TRY ENGAGE LIFE. GRAHAM.
