Getting older, and I’d like to think a little wiser. Been a painter, poet, writer, and composer for as long as I can remember. I’m now legally blind, which does produce some interesting effects, but is mainly just a pain. I now live alone in the bush which has its freedoms; but I do suffer from aloneness. Sometimes I can go for weeks with my only conversations being with myself, or either of my cats, Edmund and Isis. Used to think I was a great artist, and in consequence suffered the angst of believing I was not receiving the recognition I thought I deserved. I now realize that what I do is all that I can do, and that revelation has lifted enormous pressure from me, and I’m finally comfortable knowing my limitations and working within them. Don’t enjoy life very much, but fear Death too greatly to want it all to end. She/He will come unwanted and unheeded soon enough, and there is so much yet to do. Lament!

Spit upon the mirror that reflected happier times
1. It does make you wonder if there’s some truth to the old admonition ‘Stop it or you’ll go blind’ / 2. It can be used as an excellent excuse for a dreadful Artwork / 3. Unles…
