About the only thing I know about Easdale is thats where they held the world stone skimming championships…!!! presumably because there are lots of flat stones there. Anyway its just off Oban on the west coast of scotland a very beautiful area. Watercolour on 140lb not paper.

Why no hope? If I was you Peter I would order a wee pile & see if they’ll sell in local craft shops. I used to sell handmade cards in a few local Galleries around here.
I only stopped because the HAND MADE bit took so much time!

Buy 16 & they’ll cost you about £1.60 sell them to the Gallery for £2 they’ll sell them for £2.40 maybe a bit more. Once they’re happy they sell they’ll ask for more

Then of course they’ll want to sell the actual painting next & before you know it :o)

  • the last shop i talked to said they buy at about 70p and sell for £2 10 ie 3 times mark up. I couldn’t get stuff printed and make any profit at that rate but I must admit i didn’t really explore it too much.
