A small timber building in winter in Sweden. Again cold to paint but it didn’t take long and I took hot water with me and sat on some polystyrene foam. Watercolour on Fabriano cold pressed paper. 140lb.

Thanks Tom..how come you are always the first to see things??
Peter.. what a fine scene we have here..Strong.. yet tender touch A FAV .. and Dutch complimentsJohn
John, thanks so much and I am delighted to get your fav. Look forward to seeing you in the spring?
Beautiful! You have certainly captured the mood of the winter scene and that building certainly makes a great focal point and contrast! You paint outside? Very brave of you…
Joanne thanks – yes I am a real plein air painter. I don’t have a proper studio and I don’t work from photos. Memory occasionally but I love painting direct from the landscape.
What great work and I am amazed that you did this outside in this freezing cold. Love your little story.
Thanks so very much Marjorie. yep I did it outside but it wasn’t so very cold maybe -5 or something..and its amazing what you can do if you know you only have a shortish time to do it in.. Helps the concentration but not the circulation!
This is gorgeous Peter, brrrr outside in -5 is COLD.
Thanks Lynne much appreciated and thanks for the fav…
