One of my (Swedish) wife’s very very distant relatives was a Scot and together with a group of clan leaders fled to Scandinavia following a lost battle. He was given an area of land in Sweden by the King simply because he went out hunting and brought back a wild pig – the King was hungry and generous ( this was maybe five hundred years ago!) . A tiny part of that area is still in the family and is farmed.. this is one of the small barns in snow. Watercolour done in situ with warm water to stop it freezing.
