Lining Up

Lining Up was shot just after rain, in RAW using a tripod-mounted Canon EOS 10D and EF 70-300mm DO IS zoom at 300mm, UV Filter, ISO 100, 1/750 sec at f8. After conversion I changed to grayscale, then RGB, then history brushed the Opera House. The final adjustment was to apply the Orton Effect.

color contrast is quite imprssive … the grey of sky and bridge and the somewhat unnatural warm yellow of the Opera House. Great shot.

Hi Marquerite, thanks. The colouring of the bridge came through in upping the contrast a bit.

What a story shot. I’m sure this one ought to make the bridge calendar! Simply compelling to look at. The parallel curves, the angle, subject, post production are all expertly executed.
