Sad for the boat owner but a great mood capture !

Beautiful, love the white overload.
Peter Hill in reply to Linda Ridpath’s comment, 3 months ago
thanks Linda – I rather like this one too, and bought myself a framed copy. :)
Peter Hill in reply to Steven Guy’s comment, 3 months ago
Agree. thanks Steven
Peter Hill in reply to Catherine Davis’s comment, 3 months ago
Actually the whiteness is pretty much as is. The shot was just after sunrise, but the whole river was cloaked in fog. It was very eerie and moody and this particular scene quite surreal.

again so much is going on in this shot yet so simple, a feast for the eyes – I’m a sucker for b&w! What settings did you use?
Peter Hill in reply to Lisa Wilson’s comment, about 1 month ago
oooh, sorry Lisa for the late reply – I totally missed this. From memory: 70mm (Canon EF 70-300mm DO IS zoom), ISO 100, f5.6, about 1/90th sec, hand held, on shore. Cropped. Shot in colour then desaturated, though that hardly changed anything!
