Journey's End by Peter Hammer

Laguna Grey in Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia. This is where the icebergs eventually finish up. Right on the beach end of the laguna.

Beautiful scenery Peter. The ice duck is great !!!

  • Thanks Patrick. I thought it was more of a dragon than a duck but then I am probably wrong :-)

Nonono ! I must be wrong. I’m too childish. Can’t appreciate a bath without my baby duck.
    Lol :-))))

  • Thanks Patrick. Definitely need a baby duck in a bath and I must admit that this does look like a duck. I suppose when I saw it in real life it was a bit different and the setting seemed to suggest a dragon.

Looks like a big duck! I always appreciate your “halo” free HDR’s Peter.

  • Thanks Carl. I hate halos :-)

Looks fabulous here at RB. I am glad to see I am not the only one to think it looks like a ice duck. :)

  • Thanks Joy. I’ll admit defeat. It’s a duck :-)

Beautiful. How did you manage to combine 3 shots when there is so much water movement?.

  • Thanks Ron. The answer is I didn’t in this case use hdr. I made a mistake in the description :-( It can still work, you just have to use part of one image for the movement and photomatix also has a function to remove ghosting.
