Broken army
The terracotta warriors near Xi’an in China. This shows just how the jigsaws of pieces are assembled as part of the restoration. The complete tombs were ransacked in the decades after they were built and most of the army was smashed so all you see now is the reconstruction.

Wow, I expect it felt kind of spooky??? So want to go!!! Bet it would look great in sepia or B&W too….

Thanks Jo. Not spooky at all Jo. There are 3 huge covered pavilions covering the 3 discovered pits and they are fairly well lit. There isn’t much colour here as the colours on the warriors has long since faded but they were brightly colours when made. It would probably work very well in B&W or sepia. Never thought of that.
