Thanks exposedbutloved. This is China so you can expect to see a lot of incongruous things and a as China is such a big market a lot of companies are selling into there..

yep, that’s China.. I have painted in Guilin, which is down the river from Yangshou, the people were annoyed at me for painting the old houses across the river instead of painting the new buildings only 100 metres further on! Yangshou is no longer what it once was.
    But that is a great pic….... I wish I had taken it….

Thanks Fringedweller. Painting the old buildings would be far more interesting than painting the new ones! Much more character than those boxes they put up these days.

Nice shot. I could have taking strange views also in the Ikea shop in Kuwait. The only not available article of their catalog there is the aquavit at the cafeteria !

  • Peter Hammer replied

Well next time you are in Kuwait perhaps you should :-) What no Aquavit??? I am not surprised being a moslem country. As for me I don’t like spirits. Of course if they has Cointreau or Tia Maria…... One nice thing about flying with some of the Middle East airlines is that they give you Cointreau!!! I don’t think they serve aquavit here in Asutralia either or at least I didn’t see it the one time I was in the labyrinth.
I didn’t actually see the Ikea shop in Yangshou but it must be there hidden away somewhere.
