I grew up in the Grampians near Hall’s Gap, Vic. and where every Spring the wild flowers, like this ‘spider orchid’ (commonly known as) would rise to the occassion out of the ground in the scrub type bush, often no more than 6 inches high. So delicate and beautiful.

Definitely a prima ballerina doing a jeté on the left and three accompanying ballet dancers. This makes me smile, as well as impressing me with your artistry. Lovely image; I can see why you receive accolades and competitions.

I meant to add that this is the first image of orchids (including my own attempts) that I like. Orchid jaws with a macro lens can look rather intimidating. This has lightness and whimsy. I’m still grinning. Thanks.
