This image was taken at Mullinger Swamp, Kybybolite, South Australia. It was a bright moonlit night and I dragged out the trusty old spot-light to highlight the magnificent old dead Red Gum seen reflected in the water. After a prolonged period of being dry, the swamp has sprouted new Red Gum saplings seen with the new red leaves. Hopefully they’ll get a chance at life and don’t drown. You can just see the verdant green fields at the waters edge showing just how great the season has been in this part of the country. A truly serene place.
