and I think it’s a lot better but thats just my view here we have the classic triangle composition keeping us involved in the frame for me it works better now did you try it through Efex ?
Thanks Marshall. I did have a look with Efex early on but it seemed to lose some of its impact in mono.
Still a great shot, but for me a little of the story has been lost with taking out the boat…. keep it colour ( as he sits down and takes a breath) it is so ’Turner in feel this could be a painting…. really looking forward to see the print!
Cheers Glenn – I think I’ll bring the two and we can have a show of hands ;o) The Turner comment you made gave me the idea to try a new paper – just to try something different …
I’m all ready looking foreword to this new paper
Thank you for your comment Tereza.
I really need to head up to Elgol myself sometime, I keep seeing photographers coming up with great moody shots like this and I feel I’m missing out!
I can thoroughly recommend it! Skye itself was one of the best holidays I’ve had and the spectacular weather I was blessed with just made it for me – definitely a place I’ll be back to!
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment:)

A driven capture with an intensity of interest and magicical light…Rick
Thanks Rick – it was a great sunset that day and the sea was pretty wild. This was the only usable image I came away with as the rest were ruined by seaspray!
