Sentinel Beach - Yosemite National Park
So when I travel to parks I generally like to find a hard walk that takes me to a mountain top for a spectacular view. However, with a new baby in tow I’ve become a little more conservative. No scrambling up uncertain paths for me. And that’s more than okay because it helps me to stop and enjoy what I have rather than what is just out of reach. In a recent trip to Yosemite I came across this great little ‘beach’ a short walk off the road … I sat down here and soaked in the glory of our planet and watched my little baby girl frolic on the beach … well actually I watched her pick up everything she could lay hands on an try to eat it … including a rather large rock …
Anyway, I think the view from the bottom can be every bit as good as the view from the top … and I’m going to have to get more used to it!

I know what you mean, most of my images are taken on days when I’m not working with my 3yr old by my side. As he gets older Im able to venture a little bit further then before. cant wait till he gets older & we can both get out there & venture togeather…...........a wonderful captur too :)

A beautiful scene here Peter and captured very nicely. I do agree wholeheartedly that the view can be spectacular from the bottom as it is from the top. In my short time behind the lens, I have learned that “the view” can be spectacular from any vantage point and it doesn’t matter what the subject is. I am constantly amazed at the beauty that is found in the most ordinary of sights once they are viewed through a camera lens. Moreso, I am amazed at the things I now see that I never saw before even though they were right there in front of me. Thank you for sharing this wonderful sight. ~Len

A great shot, yosemite has always been a favorite place (my very first Bear encounter, up close and personal), your daughter is lucky to learn about the earth through your heart and eyes ;)

but now they are all grown up and not so easy to pack around..lol!!! So
enjoy and relish every moment with your little girl while she is small,
