Oil paint on prepared board, strips of canvas, bits of wood, leaves and a plastic No. 3 token.
650mm x 650mm

This painting was done over a period of time when life was a bit chaotic and I had moved around quite a bit. So inner harmony and settlement was the main theme. I wanted to capture some sense of ecosystem or that there is a balance and inner play within the environment.

For me its really cool that I painted this as I was living in inner suburbia, but writing this now I live in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.

garden, inner, karma, peace, harmony, nature, ecology, snake, butterfly, lizard, beetle, serenity

Peter’s paintings could be described as surreal, symbolism, expressionistic or even fantasy.

Landscapes of the mind that are populated with symbols, animals and characters and who play a part in telling a story.

He has composed and recorded music that he describes as “earscapes” that accompany his chronic ear themed paintings.

A very playful piece. As above, it tells of childhood… it tells of vibrance and it speaks of stories untold… a fertile imagination shared with heart. Great job.

  • Thank you very much. This painting was done over a period of time when my life was quite chaotic and I had moved around a lot. It was my way of expressing harmony or settlement of some kind.
