Opium poppies in my parents garden climbing towards a blue sky.
I was surprised one Christmas when I visited my parents house in Albury, to find their garden riddled with these beautiful flowers.
They are legal to grow here, as long as you dont harvest them in any way.

Same Poppies with a curious Bee.

This is so beautiful. The red/purple against the clear blue sky is so striking.

  • Many thanks Sophie…Mum and Dad grow these every year in their garden. They are self seeding and are much like a noxious weed. It’s legal to grow them here in Oz, as long as you dont harvest them ;-)) They usually have about 100 every year. The flowers last for about 2 days which is a pitty, as they are so beautiful.
    Thanx again my friend;-))
