Day 342 of my ‘A Photo A Day’ project.
Some photos in my project have come easily and others have been far more difficult. Some days I find a photo straight away and others I have to hunt for ages and ages to find a subject. Today I had no idea what I was going to take a photo of, so I decided to go for a walk this afternoon and see what I could find. As I walked round the village I couldn’t really find anything that caught my eye, until I spotted this small snail shell on the pavement which stopped me in my tracks. I picked it up and thought I’d put it in my pocket to photograph later. However, I noticed it still had a snail inside, so didn’t really fancy putting it in my pocket! I instead carried it in my hand and headed home. It’s amazing how at points in the project there is almost a desperation when I can’t find something, and then as soon as I do a great sense of happiness and inspiration! When I got home I placed the snail on my front garden path and took this photo of it. Even though it may look like it’s on the beach, it’s actually on a concrete pebble path!
