Day 299 of my ‘A Photo A Day’ project.

Even though it may look like it, this isn’t actually a black and white shot. This is exactly how the glass looked on the windowsill with the natural light illuminating it from the window. Last weekend I tried a few shots on this windowsill but with a different subject matter. The shots didn’t really come out how I wanted, so I scrapped the idea and did something else instead. I did however notice how the bright, natural light, made for part of an interesting photo. Today for some reason, the idea of a glass of water popped into my head. I filled it up and placed it on the windowsill, then took a few shots. I think the reason why I chose this shot for today was it’s simplicity and single tone… an everyday object like this can be seen in a whole new way in the right light… literally!
